A month of changes, new things, and happiness

Today marks one month from the day Cory and I were married. And it has sure flown by. Life has been such a whirlwind in the past few months...moving to another state, finding a new job, planning a wedding, having a wedding, making new friends, losing old friends, finding a new church family, finding my "spot" here... The list goes on.

Married life is fantastic. I get to live with the love of my life! I get to see his smiling face everyday and hug him whenever I want. It's the best feeling ever. It's strange being married. Living with someone else, sharing a bed, sharing a TV :-). Strange, yet wonderful.

It's been a hard a few days. Many friends I used to have, no longer contact me. They no longer want to be a part of my life, and that is extremely difficult. I'm not sure the reasoning, but obviously friendship for them is a flighty thing. And that's okay with me. I'd rather have friendships built on foundations. And that's what I'm beginning to build here. I'm excited to see where these new friendships lead. I'm excited that we have already had some fun adventures and that I already feel "at home."

God has been my sustainer through all of this. What a great God we serve! I have recently been following the news stories on the Steven Curtis Chapman family. I have been encouraged by their faith in the hardest times. I pray that one day, Cory and I have a family that has such great faith as theirs. What an inspiration. What an awesome Savior.
